History of the Caminito
The Caminito was named after a popular tango of the same name, the work of Juan de Dios Filiberto.
The place was inaugurated in 1959 by the initiative of Boquense artist Benito Quinquela Martín and has become an icon of the La Boca neighborhood.
The Caminito Passage stretches between the corners of Gral. José Garibaldi & Gral. Gregorio Aráoz de Lamadrid and Magallanes y Del Valle Ibarlucea.
Near Camito is the famous Boca Juniors stadium, La Bombonera, which has a museum. For soccer lovers, it is well worth the visit.
